in both films, we sometimes could not understand and i thought that was because back then technology was not that good. but (before joe told us that it was ment to be like that,) i was thinking maybe it is becuase the person who is receiving the letter/listening, did not really focus on what they were saying. we were actually hearing what they were hearing. the car driver had to focus on driving more than listening to her, and the daughter was very busy with her life in NY so eventhough she loves and misses her family, she did not have time to read and answer to it right away but she could skim through it. and the contents of the letters were almost the same.

Andy Warhol , Kenny Goldsmith; don't they both start to talk about something and then end up talking about something else or stays with same topic but make the readers confused? i think the big differance between them is that andy warhol writes in full sentences, but kenny goldsmith has a lot of lists of words and 'uh'.

I wonder about how this website was created, I know that taxi invented miniskirts..ha. For some reason I thought amazon.com was red not orange, I do not like their logo though. Can’t they be more creative? There is this orange smiling mouth under Amazon, meaning we will be satisfied with the results it gives us? Wireless portable reading device, rings under a hundred dollars, T-Mobile phones, bestsellers in learning and education. And oh yea Halloween is coming. Actually this Friday, I believe. I am not invited or planning to attend to a Halloween party because I am loner. I am getting sick and tired of people asking me what I am going to be disguised as, they go “what?!” when I tell them I am not planning to celebrate, and also I lie about how uninteresting Halloween is to me. And then they talk about what they will be wearing, how there will be uncountable parties they will be attending from Friday until Sunday. Anyways there are shoes, bestsellers in audio, TV and Home Theater. I love their new iPod. It is very cute and colorful. But I am happy with my black nano my brother gave me. My brother bought nano when it came out then bought the big one, the one we can put videos in it, then later he bought touch screen one. And now he is planning to get the iPod phone thing. And my dad has the same big iPod my brother has but different color. What a waste of money. Really. On the bottom of this webpage, there are top selling books and of course there is one about diet. I am twenty one years old and I feel like I have been on a diet for twenty years. Why every one on the media does has to be so skinny? I hate diet. My friends always tell me I am skinny but I think they are lying. Or they just say that I do not become skinnier then they are or something.

this morning

i hate traffic hate it hate it... who doesn't? especially when you are in a hurry. eww i hate that feeling. this morning, the light , the one right at the entrance to the campus was not working so cars had to go one by one... on the radio there was britney spear's 'womanizer' and three other songs... when it was almost my turn to go, police came and ....no more waiting was needed,.. why couldn't he come earlier??? and then on my way to work, this tiny,old, white/yellowish car was going like 90mph. and he was throwing all his trash out the window, just like that. right now i am at work, no customers... i love this part time job, i can do my homework while earning money :)

While watching this film, all I was thinking about was “Eww, weird, it’s so random, what the...?” but after the film was finished, I thought about it, and I loved it!! It is so confusing and all that, but I really would like to watch it again.

since i got sick, i should stay home and watch Luis Buñuel’s other films. :)

card Game

Every day, I play card game that is on my computer or on my cell-phone whenever I get stressed, or when I am busy to calm down and think about what to do; plan things out in my head. I play spider solitaire every day. At least five times a day. I did not think about it very seriously until I saw the homework; “Play a game. Think about how the game structures time. How does the "game" effect or reflect the "real world." What do games have to tell us about "everyday life? …"”. The rule for this card game is very simple. In order to get the most point while playing this game is to make least mistakes/clicks you can and get everything put in order as fast as you can. I was thinking about how can I relate this to everyday life? I had trouble, I actually thought about it for days but since I do not and I do not like playing games except this kind, I just kept thinking about it. And yes! Even a card game reflects our everyday life. For example, in school, we try to get pass every class we take so that we do not have to waste our time and money to retake it, we try to get done with school as fast as we can which is four years. It was interesting to see how card games I play every day reflect the real world. Wow…

there is a lot in one's everyday life... but imagine, suddenly, those things in your everyday is not there... we even freak out when we can not find our cell phone.
imagine if your mom was not there anymore........
i had this weird dream... like the one tom cruise has in the movie 'vanilla sky'

anyways,. it was creepy
maybe it is because this sunday is my mom's b-day and this "Everyday" class is in my head all the time:)

after reading "EVERYDAY"

I was glad to know that I was not the only one who had tough time reading the EVERYDAY book. And also glad that I did get some parts of every essay. Well I think it is like bible. You only understand the parts that really touch you. I found myself being very concentrated and understanding Maurice Blanchot’s ‘Everyday Speech’ essay. I was actually nodding my head when reading this part; “The everyday is the movement by which the individual is held, as though without knowing it, in human anonymity. The everyday we have no name, little personal reality, scarcely a face, just as we have no social determination to sustain or enclose us. To be sure, I work daily, but in the day – to – day I am not a worker belonging to the class of those who work. ” (39) I am too working daily but do not belong to the class of those who work. My classes are in the morning so that I can work from 2p.m. -7p.m. then I go to the gym, come home, do my homework and go to bed. The exact same thing repeats Monday through Friday. “The everyday is human. The earth, the sea, forest, light, night, do not represent everydayness, which belongs first of all to the dense presence of great or bun centre...” (39) I am the one makes decisions, I mean I am the one who is suppose to be in charge of my everyday life but it feels like I am being dragged by the time.

the first thing i noticed was that there are so many trash e v e r y w h e r e ! 98% were related to food. we cannot live with out food, people get so sensitive when they are hungry, we need money to get food. but once we get full, done eating them, we get reed of them like "they aren't that important anymore" but like a second ago we were like "oh please.. i would do anything for them. i'm hungry!!"

anyways..making the slide show was harder than cuz i had like more than 50 pictures to choose from. but i really enjoyed making it too!

20 minutes a rien faire !

20 minutes of doing nothing !

Every morning right after I wake up, before I do my homework, and before I go to bed, I take about five to ten minutes doing nothing just to relax because I stress a lot for even a very small thing and to make sure I did not forget anything because I tend to do that a lot of times. Therefore I thought twenty minutes of doing nothing would be piece of cake. Ok, I was wrong. I started to do my twenty minutes of nothing at my part time job. I am a cashier at a dry-cleaner and from 2o’clock – 4o’clock; it is not busy at all.
Five minutes passed really fast, and I am sure I did not do anything, not even thinking. Then ten minutes in I started to think about what does the professor mean by twenty minutes of nothing? Am I doing it right? Was I supposed to be standing up, sitting down, or lying on my bed, have my eyes open or closed? Because I am watching people pass by, I am thinking about my best friend’s 21st birthday present, what am I going to eat, how am I going to write about my twenty minutes of doing nothing? Oh well.
I found very interesting to see the people who were passing by the cleaners. All of them looked like they were being chased by something. There is seven-eleven on the left side and a teriyaki place on the right side of the dry cleaner I am working at. Some were grabbing teriyaki for their late lunch or some stopped by seven-eleven to get some snacks. I could not see, at least for twenty minutes, people who did not order teriyaki to-go or shop at seven eleven for more than five minutes. Wow… everybody seems so tired, stressed and busy. “c’est la vie”
I looked at my cell phone and … yay four minutes left! At that moment I thought twenty minutes of nothing/ thinking is piece of cake. But that last four minutes felt like four hours! When I looked at the time, thinking I am done, it showed three minutes and forty five seconds were remaining. Meaning only fifteen seconds passed by! OMG. This if how my twenty minutes of nothing passed. I realized again, that when we do something or be with someone we like, feels like there is not enough time. But when we do something or be with someone we do not like that much, there is too much time. I think it just depends on oneself how he or she does, meaning even though one is doing something or is meeting with someone he or she does not like, just try to enjoy that time. One will have to do that or be with that person anyways so just have fun!
